The sea churned between the gods and the asuras. Mahalakshmi came out one day in this churning that went on for thousands of years. That day was the new moon day of Kartik month.Deepawali is celebrated in the joy of Rama-Sita and Lakshmana returning to Ayodhya. Only Gauri son Ganesh and Vishnu wife Lakshmi are worshiped.Worship of Goddess Lakshmi and Shri Ganesh on Deepawali is very important. Without their worship, this festival is considered incomplete. But often this question arises in the mind, why the worship of Goddess Lakshmi and Ganesh on Diwali is given such preference over other gods?

Ma Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, we all know this. It is only by his grace that he attains majesty and splendor. On the auspicious date of Kartik Amavasya, the Goddess of wealth is pleased and blessings of prosperity are taken. Sharad Purnima, which precedes Deepawali, is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Maa Lakshmi. After that they are worshiped on Diwali and get the wealth of money and grain.

“Importance of Ganpati Puja on Deepawali”

Lord Shri Ganesh has been called the God of Wisdom. In Hinduism, no worship and rituals are started without Ganesh worship. This is also one of the reasons for Ganpati Puja on Deepawali. Also, after getting the blessings of prosperity from worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, the person needs to have wisdom. So that he can use this money for the right works. Ganpati Puja is performed on Deepawali with this prayer, that

‘Oh first revered Lord Ganesha, grant us good fortune and grant us the blessing to move forward on the path of grace.
